Artificial Owl Recordings is excited to announce El miedo no es una opción — the new music album from Julia Gjertsen and Nico Rosenberg, following their acclaimed previous release on Ólafur Arnalds’ label Moderna Records.
This limited edition 12″ vinyl is pressed in only 300 copies. Partly inspired by the atmosphere of a futuristic dystopia and by conversations about how fear can quietly spread and pull people toward extremes, the album carries a subtle tension beneath its serene surface — a quiet act of resistance through beauty and presence. Julia Gjertsen contributes intimate piano, ethereal synths, and delicate vocals, while Nico Rosenberg adds warm, textured synthesizers, layered guitars, and vocals on one track.
The entire record was mixed to tape, lending it a warm, organic depth that enhances its emotional resonance. These pieces drift like faint signals from a distant horizon: tender yet resilient, minimal in form but rich in feeling. The music breathes with quiet confidence — each note and pad an invitation to step beyond hesitation and into stillness.
