Alejandra Cárdenas (Ale Hop) — OP093

Following a string of acclaimed collaborations, Peruvian artist Alejandra Cárdenas (aka Ale Hop) returns with her most personal work to date, A Body Like a Home. Marking her first album under her birth name, the project is a sonic memoir exploring trauma, recovery, and love through autobiographical soundscapes. Comprising 13 songs and 15 poems, the album channels years of turbulence into a work oscillating between brutality and tenderness. At its heart is Cárdenas’s voice over layers of electric guitars, electronic textures, and field recordings. The result resonates like a diary written in sound.
