Slipstream

Slipstream is a hallucinatory mini-album by PVAS, the fourth release on Kapsela. It is an aural document of PVAS’s interior life, inspired by the club but crafted as a single artistic statement. The record features smudged breakbeats and wiry drum machines, with tracks like “Wetland” echoing T++ and Kraftwerk, and “Gathering Drift” recalling GAS or Monolake. PVAS’s homemade algo-software, UMT, reshapes textures and voices, merging aesthetic qualities and creating rhythm with non-rhythmic sound files.
