Mascarade
Mascarade EP opens with NRJ, a house track with minimal textures. Driven by an electric, contagious groove, it sets the tone with a clear and immediate burst of energy — a bright introduction that contrasts with the deeper, darker shades found elsewhere on the VA.
Medication Time unfolds slowly, carried by spacy pads, a Jack Nicholson sample from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, a throbbing bass and a hypnotic progression. A floating, transportive track that offers a mental journey somewhere between soft tension and levitation.
With Morose, the EP dives into a finely crafted tech-house piece built from live recordings of drum machines and vintage synthesizers. It shapes a deep and driving atmosphere, balancing melancholy, groove and warmly analog textures.
Don’t Worry closes with a dark, immersive breakbeat hybrid. Fragmented rhythms, evolving pads, tense leads and bold dramatic synth hits carve out a dense soundscape — at once deep, punchy and cinematic.
