Towards the end of 2011, Gareth Whitehead first approached Greg Gow about doing a remix for his Bulletdodge label and a friendship was soon formed.¬† It was further fortified during Gareth‚ s recent US tour, which also took him to Toronto where he played for Greg.¬† This relationship has spawned various musical collaborations between the two, as Gareth states, ‚Äúnot only have we produced together but we have released on each others labels, with singles and remixes, creating a nice Canadian / Scottish alliance!‚’
 
For those not in the know, Canada‚ s Greg Gow is already well established as a DJ, producer, promoter and label manager with releases on legendary labels like Transmat and KMS.¬† Likewise Gareth Whitehead is a vastly experienced producer and DJ as well as head honcho at Bulletdodge Records, so the two have a lot in common despite their geographical differences.
Taking ‚ Vacant‚ down a darker path is none other than LA based, Silent Servant.¬† As well as releases on Semantica and Historia y Violencia, it was a chance meeting with Karl O’Conner (Regis) in 1999, which opened the door to the Sandwell District label in 2006.¬†
