The tracks were originally recorded for an exhibition called &#8220;Membrana&#8221; in a church in Northern Portugal, using only drums. Different odd time signatures were extensively explored on each of the tracks. The 18\/16, 19\/16, 23\/16 signatures showcase this experimentation, and a new technique called &#8220;omission&#8221; omits notes without changing the rhythm.
