After watching the cult-classic movie Technolust \u2013 in which Tilda Swinton plays four different roles in the same film \u2013 Ciel and CCL viewed the role of the genre-fluid DJproducermulti-hyphenate in contemporary dance music in a similar absurdist light. On Tilda\u2019s Goat Stare, the duo sought to create a record that straddles their love of cinematic immersiveness in dubstep, bass music, and deeper shades of prog with the tongue-and-cheek-sassy flair they\u2019re both known for.
