Boronas &#038; Snad set the tone with \u2018Affliction,\u2019 laden with haunting synth work, rolling MPC percussion, meticulous backspins and mind bending delays. Fresh off an outing for Yoyaku\u2019s main label, Istanbul duo B\u00e4rtaub give a strong nod to the 90s and the cult E- MU rompler with \u2018Orbit The Dance Planet.\u2019 Their track fuses bumpy breaks and robotic voices with ghastly chords, a snaking bass groove and of course, one-shots from the Orbit. Mountain People kicks off the flip side with \u2018I Am The Void,\u2019 characterized by shuffled drum grooves and soft chord sequences intertwined with murky, dubbed out stabs.
