In 1984 they had an international hit with the end-of-the-world fantasy 99 Luftballons, but were unable to capitalise on its success. However, the hit has proved an evergreen, and in 2002 Nena went flying again.\r\n\r\n[b]Attention![\/b]\r\nCredits for the band [a39774] and the solo artist [a9259834] go to separate profiles. \r\nThe band split up in 1987 after [m144630]. Credits after that are generally referring to [a9259834] the solo artist, except from re-releases, compilations (like  [m233546], [m330499]). Credits mentioning full name \"Nena Kerner\" go to [a546203], while those with last name \"Kerner\" only, or \"Gabriele Kerner\" go to [a734600].\r\nUsing Nena Kerner > ANV \"Nena\" is not allowed.\r\nFor compilations containing both band and solo tracks, credit [a9259834] solo as main artist, unless the artwork is clearly implying otherwise.
