After pairing saxophonist\/composer\/producer Jerzy Maczy\u0144ski with fellow Polish experimentalist Waclaw Zimpel on 2021 collaborative release Sariani (which was credited to Jerry&#038;ThePelicanSystem in a nod to the former\u2019s earlier album for Warner Music\u2019s Polish Free Jazz series), yeyeh founder Pieter Jansen had an idea. That simple idea \u2013 getting Maczy\u0144ski in the studio with Chicagoan DJ\/producer Hieroglyphic Being \u2013 was the genesis of this record, the debut album by Universal Harmonies &#038; Frequencies.
