Intitul\u00e9 *Channels*, ce nouvel opus fait suite \u00e0 *Eternal Something*, le premier album solo de ce producteur bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Londres et \u00e0 Berlin, sorti en 2017. Cet album de sept titres est \u00e0 ce jour l\u2019\u0153uvre la plus aboutie de Brandt. Sa structure avant-gardiste et captivante m\u00eale une techno ax\u00e9e sur les accords, des envol\u00e9es orchestrales, de riches textures \u00e9lectroniques et des touches de pop cin\u00e9matographique sombre. Dans la lign\u00e9e d\u2019Eternal Something, qui exprimait une forme d\u2019isolationnisme contemplatif, Brandt a souhait\u00e9, avec Channels, cr\u00e9er un album qui capture l\u2019essence du minimalisme tout en l\u2019inscrivant dans un contexte plus ludique. Apr\u00e8s avoir interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 et enregistr\u00e9 *Six Pianos* de Steve Reich au sein d\u2019un sextuor, Brandt s\u2019est mis \u00e0 composer r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement de longues m\u00e9ditations au piano, une d\u00e9marche qui impr\u00e8gne le son de ce nouvel opus. Son \u00e9nergie fr\u00e9n\u00e9tique et son identit\u00e9 en constante \u00e9volution sont \u00e9galement le fruit des tourn\u00e9es avec son nouveau groupe Eternal Something \u2014 compos\u00e9 de Brandt au piano, \u00e0 la batterie et aux synth\u00e9tiseurs, Pascal Bideau \u00e0 la guitare et \u00e0 la basse, ainsi que Florian Juncker au trombone \u2014 et de son d\u00e9sir de retranscrire \u00e0 la fois la coh\u00e9sion sonore et spirituelle de leurs concerts, au cours desquels les musiciens s\u2019unissaient pour cr\u00e9er un m\u00e9lange fascinant d\u2019\u0153uvres grandioses.
