See the example image of one of their own introductory advertisements. It should not be added as a label to any release before that date, aside from those Indian releases. Furthermore it should not be added as a label on any release with a primary branded label such as [l=His Master's Voice], [l=Columbia], [l=Path\u00e9], [l=Parlophone], [l=Capitol Records], etc., as the (usually) boxed EMI logo that appears with the primary label simply implies that the label formed part of the EMI Group (please do not confuse with [l1032063]), not that EMI was a label. In these cases, it is permitted to add EMI as a Record Company ([url=https:\/\/www.discogs.com\/forum\/thread\/357844]discussion[\/url] \/ [url=https:\/\/www.discogs.com\/forum\/thread\/768565]more discussion[\/url]) as it was the corporate logo of the parent companies [l293204] \/ [l359207] (EMI) and was not intended as a label.[\/b]\r\n\r\nPlease note the seated Angel logo with the standard EMI classical red company logo above it as often seen in the 1980s, is the logo of [l=Angel Records] not EMI.\r\n\r\nFrom 1996 until September 2012 the ultimate parent company \/ owner of all the EMI labels and companies was EMI Group Ltd. ([l1032063].)\r\n\r\nAfter that date [l=Universal Music Group] now owns large parts of the former EMI Group, with the former [l=EMI Records Ltd.] (which includes most EMI UK & Europe operations) being renamed as [l=Parlophone Records Ltd.] and being sold off to the [l=Warner Music Group].\r\n\r\nEMI was a major label and had a lot of sub and sister labels which also carry the EMI logo and manage its huge amount of releases all over the world. \r\n\r\n[u]The EMI country codes[\/u]: In 1969 a new international system was introduced for EMI catalogue numbers. A five-digit prefix was added to the five-digit record number, separated by a hyphen. The first number and letter are a code for the country the record was made in or for. This usually corresponds with the country field on Discogs, but beware of instances where packaging bearing the original catalogue number was carried over unchanged in other countries, such as on [r=24868325] or [r=15042321]. Please enter this catalogue number against whichever label is branded on the release.\r\n\r\n(C = Country, E = Europe, M = [l18512])\r\n OC = UK (from April 1973)\r\n 0C = UK (from April 1973)\r\n 1A = Netherlands \r\n 1C = Germany\r\n 1M = Germany (for [l18512])\r\n 1E = UK (until April 1973)\r\n 1J = Spain (1969-1977)\r\n 2C = France\r\n 2M = France (for [l18512])\r\n 2S = France (for [l28820])\r\n 2E = Austria \r\n 2J = Greece (until 1977)\r\n 3C = Italy \r\n 3E = Switzerland \r\n 4B = Belgium (for [l109502] releases)\r\n 4C = Belgium\r\n 4M = Belgium (for [l18512])\r\n 4E = Sweden \r\n 5C = Netherlands\r\n 5D = Netherlands (for [l51943] and [l970326] releases)\r\n 5N = Netherlands (for [l37608] releases)\r\n 5E = Finland (until 1976)\r\n 6C = Denmark \r\n 6E = Denmark \r\n 7C = Sweden \r\n 7E = Norway\r\n 8C = Norway\r\n 8E = Portugal (until mid-1979)\r\n 9C = Finland (from 1976)\r\n 10C = Spain (from 1977)\r\n 11C = Portugal (from mid-1979)\r\n 12C = Austria\r\n 13C = Switzerland \r\n 14C = Greece (from 1977)\r\n 16C = Australia (unused on releases)\r\n 17C = New Zealand (unused on releases)\r\n 31C = Brazil\r\n 32C = Chile\r\n 33C = Mexico\r\n 82C = South Africa\r\n\r\nFor unofficial releases which use the EMI-logo and\/or claim to be an EMI-release please use this label: [l=EMI (2)]!\r\n\r\nPlease [url=http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/help\/forums]ask in the forums[\/url] if you are in doubt.","label_country":"","label_founded_year":0,"label_website":"https:\/\/emirecords.com\/","label_instagram":"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/emirecords\/","label_facebook":"","label_bandcamp":"","label_soundcloud":"","label_youtube":"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/emimusic","musiclabel_logo_url":"","musiclabel_bio_curated":"","musiclabel_instagram_curated":"","musiclabel_website_curated":"","musiclabel_discogs_url_curated":""},"default_distributor":null,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/yoyaku.io\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/musiclabel\/33313","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/yoyaku.io\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/musiclabel"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/yoyaku.io\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/musiclabel"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/yoyaku.io\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product?musiclabel=33313"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
