In 2001, they left their hometown, with Freer moving to Berlin, and Reiling moving to Hamburg. Reiling became involved in Hamburg's metal scene as a member of Tutribes, while Freer became involved in label management, setting up his label Retreat with Quarion.\nTheir first release as Session Victim was in 2008.
