Limited edition of 10, hand printed by Nao Gunji and numbered by Satoshi Tomiie himself. It\u2019s an album featuring their two EPs AUA004 and AUA005 = \u2018Radiant-Dissonant\u2019.<br \/>\nThis release includes digital version of the album.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AUA004<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Radiant. The title of the 4th release from A_A contrasts with the EP\u2019s delicate, sometimes opaque sonic landscape.<br \/>\nFiltered-down kick, grainy lushness of pads, obscure noise, incoherent acapella, and bass that only exist below the frequency band of smartphone and laptop speakers, all contribute to the fiery stillness that drape over each of the 4 tracks included. While the new EP continue to be pinned by the duo\u2019s signature leniency for noise and precise execution of sound design, it sets itself apart from the previous releases by successfully retaining the frail scent of uncontained, improvised performance while remaining firmly within the scope of floorcentric dance music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AUA005<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;The tracks on \u2018Dissonant\u2019 were harvested from the same studio live sessions as the last release \u2018Radiant\u2019 (AUA004) and share the similar club-oriented brown-noise swagger and the sub-bass that slither low like a wet serpent.nnThese 2 releases complete the second album of A_A \u2018Radiant-Dissonant\u2019.nnThe \u2018Dissonant' vinyl is released intentionally \u201cnaked\u201d (without the sleeve) as this serves as Disc 2 of the album.nLargely comprised of a rhythm box, a 101, and random phone recordings of what went on within and outside of the studio, the duo dives into live processing and manipulation of these limited sources through resampling and stomp box degradation, feedback loop in and out of a junk yard delay unit from a consumer electronics and tape machines.nnThe deep steadiness of the particular sessions disguises the excitement that permeated the studio when the two performers found themselves landing on the fine balance between the intensity of unscripted playing and the utilitarian aspect of club music.
