My debut EP on Rupture LDN, \u2018Shades of Rave Vol 1\u2019 was created with my love of raving at its core. I love arriving early doors when the anticipation of the night ahead is at its peak, feeling like we\u2019re on the edge of something new and thrilling. I love dancing when we\u2019re deep in session, everyone has come undone and the power hours are in full effect – the energy is frenzied and wild. I love the golden hours towards the end of the night when the crowd has thinned and we\u2019re exhausted but energised, physically empty but spiritually full. This EP touches on 4×4 jungle techno, jungle, deep d&b and there\u2019s also a spoken word\/ poem track dedicated to our \u2018all night long\u2019 Ferry to the Underworld sessions at Corsica Studios. Inspired by the many moods and energies of the dance floor, I wanted to express the different shades of rave I continue to love and cherish all these years on since going to my first rave at 14.
