Opener &#8216;Jina&#8217; is run through with far-sighted chords that bring to mind the glowing metropolis of Ridley Scott&#8217;s &#8216;Bladerunner&#8217; &#8211; it even feels like there&#8217;s rain falling in the tune as well as subtle celestial vocals and deep, driving bass. and spoken word samples to add that cinematic ambiance. &#8216;Jina (Mahsa)&#8217; is soulful machine music &#8211; fans of the glorious 69 project of Carl Craig will doubtless dig it &#8211; and then &#8216;Nika&#8217; rides on a much more rubbery and lovely, lumpy Herbert-esque beat with molten synth melodies and a darker energy.
