Asakaira is a collective from Campania, Italy

Immersed in an imaginary, and therefore borderline, space, the musicians involved take advantage of this nature in order to transcend its limits: carefully noting the history and legacy of jazz, hip-hop and Afrobeat, they throw caution blowing in the wind with carefree abandon.

The sound heard in Asakaira is psychedelic, fluid, constantly evolving: Afrobeat and jazz punk alternate with funk, electronic music and Mediterranean culture. A perfectly "stateless" sound, which however maintains its own timbric and stylistic coherence that makes it recognisable. The choice not to have a harmonic instrument present in the band gives ample space to electronic effects and grooves, which create a sort of modern ritual.
