The Love Mixes

Following the success of his ‘Love Dub So’ EP, Nick Barber’s Doof project returns to Mysticisms, presenting tracks from his previously cassette only release ‘The Love Mixes’. Influenced by psychedelic rock, Barber’s transition to electronic music was inspired by electronic dance music scenes in India and Thailand in 1989. His early recordings, made with minimal equipment during studies in Cambridge, form the basis of his Novamute debut. Originally shared with friends via cassettes, these tracks were remastered for this EP, showcasing the vibrant energy of that era.
