Hydroplane LP
Hydroplane reinstate their formidable 1997 debut of sublime guitar atmospherics, fragile lyricism, and droning incidentals with an overdue vinyl and digital reissue. Formed after drummer Cameron Smith moved to London, the trio used tape loops and borrowed instruments to create new soundscapes. Initially planned as a single release, the label pushed for a full album, leading to dream pop tracks complemented by Kerrie Bolton’s vocals. Despite limited recognition locally, they formed meaningful alliances overseas.
