Horizons is the debut LP by 3D artist Basile Buisson under the name “LOSST”.
Between retrowave and film music, this album takes us to the dream lands of a surreal, bizarre and desert world.
Through 12 tracks, named likechapters of an 80’s science fiction book, LOSST cosmic, warm and progressive sound transports you into a sonic and cinematic epic voyage.
Follow the paths and the electronic rhythms by traversing sound layers, of vintage synths, supported by orchestral instruments. With this homage to retro film music, you will find all the flavors that characterize the 80s, driven by Junos, dx7s, Minimoog and other machines.
Drawing on sound references such as Sinoa Cave, Zombie Zombie or Disasterpeace, but also influenced by the cinema of John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick or Nicolas Winding Refn, this album finds its identity in this melting pot of artists and universes outstanding. The perfect soundtrack to read Moebius, old Heavy metal magazins or Dune.

LOSST is the musical project of Basile Buisson. French graphic designer, musician in love with soundtracks and cinema in general, he grew up with the music of John Carpenter, John Williams and Tangerine Dream. His universe can be represented by a raw, vintage and very cinematographic landscape. He tries to blend analog synths and orchestral sounds to create an aesthetic that takes us to another world, unreal and fantastic. Its cosmic, warm and dark atmospheres slowly enter your mind and transport you to a film that does not yet exist …
